Chakra Design studio now has a physical studio in the great south Indian city of Chennai….finally we are in our own space. A place where we can draw, paint, cut, sew, chat, discuss, and meet with people.The temples, beaches, food, culture, friends old/new and family makes this a special place indeed!

The Studio is in a lovely building built in the early 80s. Tall ceilings, large windows and an oval office space makes it really special. We are blessed with huge Peepal, Mango and Coconut trees all around which makes it pleasant even in the hot, humid summer months.
The furniture in our studio was reclaimed, restored and reused from old pieces. We literally used the concept, others person’s trash is somebody’s treasure!!
The grand 7ft. cutting table where the Chakra products are cut was once a billiards table from a palace in the deep south and has a history of games played by the royal enthusiasts. We restored it and made it a piece of functional art in our studio.

The wrought iron stairway rails, brings you to the first floor of the studio. The floor to ceiling windows have a fantastic view of the grand old mango tree which continues to yield the sweetest Banginapalli mangoes even after 80 years!
We have been busy and hard at work to launch Chakra for Her,our women’s line and Chakra Abode our home accessories collection. Our website is getting spruced up to put us right back in business after a years’ hiatus. A perfect space for us… CHAKRA DESIGN STUDIO!
